I was very blessed to attend the Kentucky State Fair recently with my daughter Regin Stovall to watch her compete in the 4-H Country Ham Competition.
Regin’s Country HamMuhlenberg County at the State Fair
4-H is a great program for the youth in our community. After her speech we had a great time viewing all the exhibits. Especially the Muhlenberg County one.
I was honored recently to speak at the monthly meeting of Champions For A Drug Free Muhlenberg County.
I spoke about my 20 years of legal practice in the court system and the tragic effects of drug and alcohol addiction on people, their families and our communities.
I also spoke about the need for drug treatment and for mental health services to be used in the court system.
Lastly, I spoke about how treatment benefited not only the individual with the addiction but how it benefitted their families and the community as a whole by increasing public safety.
Champions is a fantastic organization that is doing great work in our community and I am so proud that my daughter, Regin Stovall is a Champions Youth Ambassador this school year.
Looking forward to reading to our Muhlenberg County 2nd graders as part of Rotary Reads. Rotary members will read to all Muhlenberg County 2nd graders and gift them the book WHO WAS RUTH BADER GINSBURG?
Enjoyed supporting Regin as she volunteered her time as part of the Muhlenberg County Beta Club to assist with the event and watching my family participate in the Muhlenberg March Madness Hoopla! Congratulations to Avery and Jaclyn for winning their division!
Thank You to the 3rd Grade teachers and students at Longest Elementary for inviting me to speak about Democracy and Government. I enjoyed answering your great questions!
